During the rainy season from January to March ungulates enjoy the green pastures of the Serengeti soil. In April, the end of the rains, the migration begins northwestward across the Grumeti river, where crocodiles, towards the month of June, reaching the grasslands of the Masai Mara in August. This cycle will be completed with the return back to the Serengeti in the month of November in anticipation of the rains.
