After Amboseli and Masai Mara is the most visited national park in Kenya. It offers a varied landscape in the lake, grassland areas, acacias and euphorbias forests and steep cliffs.
The best views of the park are from top of the baboons cliff.
Among the fauna highlights the presence of white rhinos, whose numbers have increased since its reintroduction, a few years ago. With some luck you can observe black rhinos and tree climbing lions.
Formerly home to thousands of flamingos that turned the lake in a pink sea. Continuous changes in water levels due to changes in river management and water uses, has made the number of flamingos has dropped considerably and does not offer that pink blanket that previously characterized the park.
